There are three areas of the property that are utilized for various events including weddings, social events, business meetings, luncheons, showers, etc. These areas are our Ballroom, historic home, and the professionally-landscaped lawn. We have hosted events ranging in size from an intimate, 20 person dinner up to 500 people for a wedding reception when all of the areas of the property are utilized.
The first area is our Ballroom. The space is approximately 2,000 square feet and includes Swarovski crystal chandeliers, marble tile flooring, a large dance floor, and elevated stage that is perfect for a DJ, band, or formal presentation. We also have state-of-the-art A/V equipment including a drop-down screen, LCD projector, house sound system, microphones, etc., that are very useful for a formal presentation or a simple slideshow and toast for a wedding reception or rehearsal dinner. We always include the setup, clean up, tables, chairs, and linens in our rental fees. You can see photos of the Ballroom here.
The second area of the property is the original home that was built in approximately 1840. This area includes original hardwood floors, crown molding, antique furniture, and tons of character. This area feels very much like a “home” and has various rooms including our cake room, piano room, East parlor, bridal suite, and dining room. This section of the property is wonderful for guests to mingle throughout a cocktail reception or host a sit-down plated meal for a small group of 20-30. You can see photos of the historic home here.
The last area of the property that is used for events is our lawn. This area was professionally landscaped in 2009 when it was purchased by the current owners and provides the perfect setting for a wedding ceremony or spring social party. Featuring two large Oak trees and a 3-tier side porch, we have hosted parties for up to 250 on our lawn. You can see photos of the lawn here.
